Hon. Kutesa at Franco-African Meeting

Uganda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sam Kutesa attended a followup Ministerial Meeting of the 22nd Franco-African Summit in Paris, June 13- 15, 2005. The meeting was hosted and chaired by the French Government and was attended by delegates from African countries led by their respective Foreign Ministers, the African Union, and the UN. Topics discussed included: Peace and Security; Environment and Energy; Agriculture and Trade; and Education and Health.

The next Franco-African Summit under the theme: “The African Youth, its Vitality and Creativity,” will be held in Bamako, Mali, December 3-4, 2005.

Uganda’s delegation comprised of Amb. Rhoda S. Kaisho and Senior Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
