Uganda to Host EA Petroleum Conference in 2005

Uganda will host the second East African Petroleum Conference, March 2-4, 2005. The
Conference theme is “Energy for Sustainable Develoment.”

The event is organised biannually to maintain the momentum for the promotion of the petroleum potential of the East African community region and attract investment in the sector.

Preparations for the Conference are already underway at both regional and local levels.
Participants will include international oil companies, representatives of the Partner States,
EAC Secretariat, Petroleum Service Companies, Geo-science Institutions, and cooperating partners.
