Uganda and Kenya to Boost Manufacturing

Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB) and Export Promotion Council of Kenya (EPCK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to coordinate manufacturing in their private sectors with emphasis on agro-processing and other developmental activities in Mid October, 2003. The executive Director UEPB, Ms Florence Kata, observed that the memorandum aims at promoting mutual cooperation to expand trade between Kenya and Uganda in the context of East African Community (EAC).

The EPCK Executive Director, Mr. Matanda Wabuyele, pointed out that the memorandum would help Uganda and Kenya enhance their trade relationships and improve exports.
