Uganda Instant Coffee on Danish Market

President Yoweri Museveni launched Uganda’s Mt. Elgon Instant Coffee brand in Denmark, on December 02, 2003. It is produced and packaged by Uganda Coffee House in Copenhagen and will be distributed by Superbased Supermarket chain with over 300 outlets.

The President observed that the launching of Uganda’s instant coffee was an act of liberation for Uganda’s farmers who have now been directly linked to European consumers.

He thanked the European Union for opening up their markets to Africa’s products under the Everything But Arms (EBA) policy.
