Unga Group Invests Kshs. 1.5 bn in Uganda

Unga Holdings Limited, the largest grain miller and animal feed manufacturer in Kenya, has returned to the Ugandan market with the commissioning of its Unga Millers (Uganda) Limited subsidiary in Kampala.

The President commissioned the new company at a ceremony held at Kapala’s Sheraton Hotel.

The President pointed out that production, processing and marketing are critical in reinvigorating the agricultural sector in the region.

He observed that African countries should concentrate on adding value to their products so as to fetch a premium in the world markets. Speaking at the occasion, Unga Group Managing Director, Nick utchinson, complimented the Ugandan Government for creating an enabling environment that facilitates economic
development and growth.
