Farewell for High Commissioner

The Mission Staff held a farewell party for the High Commissioner and Lydia Butagira on May 19, 2003 at Nairobi Safari Club.

Speaking on behalf of the staff, Minister Counsellor Kangumba Adyeri hailed the efforts and achievements of Ambassador Butagira. He observed that in a short span of four years, he had made the Mission more effective and efficient in discharging its mandate and duties. H.E. Butagira thanked the Staff for their cooperation and called for continuation of team work.

The High Commissioner had earlier on been hosted by the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps H.E. Maj. Gen. Sarakikya, and the African Diplomatic Corps Group. He paid farewell courtesy calls on President Mwai Kibaki, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, before leaving Nairobi on May 21, 2003.
