Uganda to Re-open Diplomatic Mission

The government has decided to reopen Embassies that were temporarily closed
in 2002.

Announcing the decision, Hon. James Wapakabulo, pointed out that the Missions to be reopened were Berlin, Ger-many; Paris, France; and Moscow, Russia. Uganda will also reopen its Embassy in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, that was closed due to insurgency in 1998 and open a new Embassy in Tehran, Iran. All these Embassies are expected to be operational after July, 2003.
