Hon. Wapakabulo at NAM Meeting

Hon. James Wapakabulo

The Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. James Wapakabulo led Uganda’s delegation to the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, February 21-25, 2003.

He was accompanied by Amb. James Mugume, Director for International Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Heads of State and government of the 114- nation NAM attended the meeting. NAM was founded in 1955 to chart a neutral position between the United States and the Soviet blocs during the cold war.

It now focuses on the plight of the developing countries in a globalised world, among other current concerns.
